We are all staring at the same wall painted in flickering shadows. Infinitely expansive, it is impossible to see in its entirety. So we pick a point on the wall and stare. Careful not to avert our gaze from the dancing dimness, we rarely ask why the dark dances at all. But the shadows don’t stay shadows for long, on them we place our expectations. Eventually growing tired of the view we shift focus. A new point on the same wall is selected. We do this repeatedly, repeatedly until we arrive at our origin. Forgetful, we start it all again.
