A Tuesday, like God intended. lol. And yeah, it’s 11/11. I’m a sucker for manufactured serendipity. Until then, I plan to drip release the album track by track in order appearance.

When Everything Wanted More

This album means a lot of different things to me. It started as a title, which represented an ending. For as long as I can remember I’ve always been asking, “Why?”. The eternal question that all great spiritual traditions revolve around. And in a moment of meditation the answer, well at least my answer, came to me… Because everything wanted more. God, The Universe, Consciousness, whatever you want to call it, at some point it wanted more. Unsure what more is, that moment of doubt rippled through the uncarved whole and traced fault lines of ignorance through totality. Wrapped in those webs of ignorance, or rather, defined by those webs is all of individuated life.

So that’s where the title came from…

Originally it was going to be used for a photography book, but at some point while I was making the beats that make this album, the concept and name transferred to a musical medium. My most sacred medium. A love I had to let go for a long time. But we’re back together now, and despite my tendency for doom, we’re doing better than ever. WEWM was never intended to be an instrumental album, I fully intended to write to each of these tracks and their respective topics. But as the album took shape, it became apparent that I wasn’t supposed to focus on the lyrics yet. My focus was supposed to be on the music itself. In the times of my prior pen names, beats were made so I could rap on them. That’s it. Of course I did my best to make them sound as good as I could, but ultimately they were secondary to the lyrics.

This album was supposed to change that.

It represents my willingness and dedication to step back into the hall of music after a 15 year absence. It represents how much music has continually shaped and saved my life. It is a shrine to those forces we can’t see, yet shape us. It is proof that all of eternity lives in every fleeting moment. It is my love letter to why.

It quite simply is… love.

In case it isn’t abundantly clear, I produced, mixed & engineered all of the tracks and the long time homey, Apollo’s Sun, mastered the album at The Orange Room in Harrisburg, PA. And oh yeah, I did all of the graphic work as well.

Unfortunately I can’t add the album as a pre-save on Spotify or Apple Music because I don’t reach the threshold for monthly listeners yet, but if you’d like, you can follow me on either of these platforms and the releases should pop up in your feed or whatever.
