I’ve just realized I never made an official announcement of Plastic Monks, let alone Ring of Fire. Since my last post, my long time homebwoy and collaborator El*A*Kwents and I have decided to formalize our collaborations by shuffling them under the banner of Plastic Monks. So whenever El and I collaborate, whether it’s him rapping on one of my beats, both of us rapping on one of my beats, both of us rapping on one of El’s beats, both of us rapping on someone else’s beat, or whatever other manner of collaboration between us.
Our first official release is the song, Ring of Fire. I could go into all the details about how it came to be and the unconventional years long process under which it was birthed, but us artists need to leave some space for mystery.
