Originally,
this project was designed as a lay-flat, spare no expense photography book. But after a horrible test print, I decided to just release it as a downloadable pdf. This was way back in 2022 and I didn’t have the space or time to go down the book printing rabbit-hole for a book that was gonna cost me $250 per printing. I was looking at extremely short-run numbers.
So after 3 years fermenting and a light redesign, I present to you Dead Malls – Second Edition. It’s an on-demand photography book printed by Blurb on 70# uncoated paper. It’s available in both a softcover and hardcover design. They’re identical except for their covers.

Preface:
This book is more art than documentary, as in the shutter only snapped if something caught my eye.
In July of 2022 I bought a new camera, a Fujifilm x100v. In order to familiarize myself with the camera and the focal length, I wanted to shoot a small project and print it. And if you haven’t guessed already, this is that project, albeit a second iteration of it.
