I don’t even know where to start with this movie. I love it for it’s obvious theme and surprisingly for its campiness. Emphasized in one of the most arduously obtuse fight scenes I have ever seen put to film. It’s truly miraculous.
At one point in my life the basic plot would have seemed absolutely outlandish to me, but the world unfurls, the more the premise makes sense. The people who run this world truly do run it like they stole it.
While this is no Big Trouble in Little China, it’s a movie worth a watch. If only for the thinly veiled societal critiques.
